Privacy Policy
Prospectto shows company and decision-maker information for the website you are viewing. This policy explains what the extension and service handle, and what they do not.
What the extension collects
- The domain of the website you are viewing (for example, example.com), when you open the Prospectto side panel. It is sent to the Prospectto service to look up or run research for that company. The full page URL, page text and page content are not sent.
- Your Prospectto sign-in session. Your browser attaches your existing Prospectto session cookie to requests to our service so we know which account is making the request. The extension never sees, asks for or stores your password.
What stays on your device
- Your light or dark theme preference, saved in the browser's extension storage.
What we do not collect
- We do not read, copy or transmit the content of the pages you visit.
- We do not keep a log of your browsing history. We only receive a domain when you open the side panel on a site.
- We do not collect keystrokes, clicks, form entries, payment information or health information.
How the information is used
The domain you look up is used only to return company and people research, and to save that research to your Prospectto account so you can view it again. Account and usage information is used to provide, secure and bill the service.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not use or transfer it for advertising, for determining creditworthiness or lending, or for any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose. To produce research results, the service uses third-party data and AI providers; they receive the company domain or name being researched and are not given your account credentials. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention and deletion
Research saved to your account is kept while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time using the contact address below.
Security
All communication between the extension and the service uses HTTPS. The sign-in cookie is protected from access by page scripts.
Children
Prospectto is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the product.
